Through the years I have made some pretty dumb purchases. I’d like to think I have come a long way in better understanding what serves me and what is just adding to the clutter of my home. I have come to realize there are purchases that can make life easier, and there are purchase that make life harder and also come with the baggage of buyers remorse. I can tell you without questions that the following items are used everyday in my home and serve purposes that add to my life and routines. I think you will find that these items could find a place in your home as well.
Jewelry
I use to binge buy jewelry from boutiques. The pieces would sit in my jewelry box, still in the packaging for months. I wasted money on fashion jewelry that would fall apart quickly and turn my ears and skin green. I finally found a brand that made simple classic pieces that I literally wear everyday. Ana Luisa makes beautiful pieces made from recycled gold that can fit any budget. They have silver pieces too for those who aren’t into gold. With a huge variety of styles you can find something to fit your personal wardrobe. And they have a great sale going on right now! BOGO 60% OFF! You can use my discount code NEISHA20 for 20% off your order.

I just pop one of my favorite pods in and it’s perfectly brewed every time. I did an entire review that you can watch below where I share my favorite pods!

these pans come in several different color ways including PINK!
Nugget Ice Maker 26% off $389.99 (usually $529!! ) https://amzn.to/3U0CFNE
This ice maker was on my wish list for years. It isn’t cheap but after using it for over a year now, I don’t think I could go back to regular ice! It was a gift from my husband when I got pregnant with our second child and it definitely has become one of my favorite household appliances.

Robot Vaccum/mop (20% off ) $179 https://amzn.to/3VhkwvY
While some would argue that this isn’t a REAL vacuum, I can tell you that it picks up everything from a tiny piece of dust to hair, mud and leaves that my dog brought in on her fur. It fits UNDER my couch and tv stand so I don’t have to bend over and drag a dust mop under there. It even MOPS! It does a great job and it’s actually very pretty as well. We named ours Cinderella. While I still run a cordless vacuum every now and then I can tell you this little robot helps me out a lot when I have other things I need to be doing. She’s busy cleaning with me while I am picking up toys that will come back out in 5 minutes.

Wall vacuum https://amzn.to/3i356gw
This was a weird purchase. Last year we welcomed a beautiful standard poodle puppy into our lives. With her came the task of grooming. After the first go at it, I realized there was going to be a LOT of hair. I found this item while browsing on amazon a thought it was worth a try. Since then I have used it for far more than just her fur. It’s so easy to just sweep things into this vacuum. I almost never use the dust pan anymore. That line that never seems to disappear with a dustpan? Never see that anymore and I couldn’t be happier.

In the past year I have learned that my iPad can pretty much replace every planner, notebook, calendar and organizer I could ever need. I do EVERYTHING on it including my taxes. I use digital planners in place of the HUGE planners I would buy and never use. I would start out great and usually around March the planner would go untouched until the next year when I would again say “This is the year I get organized”. This all changed last year. I can finally say that in 2022 I used my planner every single month. I didn’t have to buy a ton of stickers or makers and pens because those things are ALL on the iPad essentially for free. You are able to customize digital planners in ways you could never do on pen and paper. Not sure digital planning is right for you? Here is a great video explaining how to get started. If you love pen and paper then by all means keep it up! I wish it had worked out for me, but I am so glad I finally found a way to organize my life in a way that works for me.

I also use my iPad for downloading and listening to books. In the past few years I have read well over 100 books. My books can be accessed on my iPhone as well and it makes for a great morning while I drink my coffee and have some me time while I listen to a self-development book or a nice fiction pick. This year my favorite book was Verity by Colleen Hoover. It is INTENSE but wow, what an amazingly crazy book. I couldn’t put it down and read it in 2 days.

FAVORITE BAG OF THE YEAR :
Lululemon belt bag $38 https://rstyle.me/+vIsHmSrjBEKaELawRpwRGg
Amazon belt bag https://amzn.to/3UTXz25
Easily my most used bag of the year. Although it is not the one I would have picked at the beginning of 2022. I swore I would not join the fanny pack tribe. No way. But I have to say this is the absolute best bag I have purchased in a very very long time. I may look small but it can hold way more than you would think. It holds my passport wallet, my keys, my card holder, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, even Bonnie’s WubbaNub pacifier and there is still room for more. Amazon has one that is nearly identical for a bit less but I have to say this was a great buy at only $38.

Top Make Up Pick : Concealer https://rstyle.me/+xlVKK-5S43kcuExOz_COVA
I don’t use foundation anymore, I only use a bit of concealer. I absolutely love this formula. It goes on so smoothly, doesn’t cake up and looks super natural. I use to wear so much foundation but now I just put this on and smooth it in. Add some bronzer, blush and mascara and go.

Those are my top picks for 2022 – I am making an effort in 2023 to be less of a consumer and be more conscious about what goes into my house. I purged so many items this month and the goal is to NOT replace them. While I know I will never be a minimalist, I can at least be MORE minimal.
